European Day of Languages 2024 - Foundation
Today across the school, we celebrated European Language Day!
In Foundation, we used our imagination to travel to 3 different European countries.
First we listened to a story in Polish and learnt how to say hello.
Then we travelled to France. Did you know 'Bonjour' is hello in French. We tried some French croissants. They were a huge hit! Look at all the thumbs up!
This afternoon, we watched some traditional Spanish flamenco dancing and had a try and dancing in a similar way. We also learnt that the Spanish for hello is 'Hola'.
In our continuous previous we could explore some globes and atlases. The challenge was to find the United Kingdom! Well done Foundation for being Curious Cats today!
