At Christmas, Mrs Claire Hardisty retires from her role as Headteacher of Thornbury Primary School after 17 years!
She has brought a wealth of experience, training and curriculum knowledge to both Thornbury Primary and Connect Academy Trust. This includes being a founding Headteacher of the Trust, helping to training a number of middle (now senior) leaders and being the driving force behind our own Ocean Curriculum.
On Friday, we hosted a special assembly to share our gratitude for Mrs Hardisty. The whole school participated by: performing personalised songs and poems, creating beautiful collaborative artwork and unique thank you cards. There was a special word from Mrs Smith, the Chair of Governors and even some special visitors!
