Hours: 8 hours per week

Salary: Connect Grade C3, initially, £12.18 per hour for 43.71weeks per year (term time)

Job Role: After School Club Leader
Job information
This post is to lead and manage Sunshine Club which provides quality wraparound childcare.
You will work closely with the club and school staff, within this vibrant, inclusive school to provide safe and quality play experiences.
You will be in a lead supervisory role in the afternoons from 3.00 - 6.00pm on Mondays and Thursdays, and from 3-5pm on Fridays, this a is a term time only role.
We are looking for a good team player, also able to act on their own initiative.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, be familiar with MS office, and be computer literate. They will need at least GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in Literacy and Mathematics, and at least at a Level 3 in a relevant field.
Appointment is subject to Enhanced DBS, satisfactory references and Occupational Health Screening.

JOB TITLE: Sunshine Club Manager
GRADE: C
This document outlines the duties required for the post entitled after school club manager and to indicate the level of responsibility. Responsible for:
The day-to-day management of the setting. To take specific responsibility for the management, organisation and running of After School Club, to ensure that parents and carers are provided with high quality childcare.
Main Purpose:
To work with all staff to ensure that a caring and stimulating environment is provided for children that takes into account individual development needs and enables children to reach their full potential.
Main Activities:
To manage and organise all of the Sunshine Club.
• To plan and prepare exciting play opportunities that meet the children’s developmental needs and stimulate their learning.
• To market the facilities to ensure that the setting remains viable
• To Liaise with the admin staff regarding the payments system.
• To establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families in a way that values parental involvement.
• To observe and assess children’s development and keep accurate records of their achievements.
• To provide a service that respects children’s life experiences and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, ability, race and religion.
• To assist in reviewing and implementing policies and procedures of the setting to ensure equality of access for children and families.
• To be responsible for the setting resources and reorder inline with budgets set.
• To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post with regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy.
• To act as an ambassador for the organisation and maintain a positive image of its aims and work.
• To carry out any other duties which will be seen to enhance the work of the organisation.

Person Specification for Out of School Club Manager
Essential:
To undertake an enhanced DBS check
To undertake a relevant NVQ3 qualification if not held
Literacy and Numeracy skills to fulfil the duties of the role
Understanding of Health and Safety and Child Protection issues
Have experience of working with children in the 3 - 11 years age range.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Person of integrity
Ability to remain impartial
Have good interpersonal skills
