An autumn leaf in a child's hand

News and Updates

At Thornbury, we believe that every child has the potential to achieve great things. That's why we are committed to providing a dynamic, supportive learning environment that helps our pupils thrive.

Year 1 Linnets had a 'Super' time in PSHE on Children In Need day. They met 'Super Teacher' who had super skills of reading, teaching and cuddles! They talked together as a class about the super skills that they each had. We had an amazing array of skills in the class, such as friendship, swimming, running and kindness.

We then put on our own superhero capes and went outside to practise some of these Super Skills. We practiced being polite by shaking hands and asked each other 'how are you?' We also practised sharing and swapped capes with our friends.

We learnt that everyone has different super skills, and we can always help one another learn new skills so we build up our super-powers.

Well done Linnets, you are all Super Heroes!
